Conjectures on Wind, Flow, and Therapy

Wind: the essence of change and flow.
Tree: the essence of solidity and plantedness.
Wind through Trees: the essence of beauty.
Conjectures………….
When a fluid change agent influences an immovable object gently,
the result is beauty.
The infinitely smooth rock surfaces of beach rocks, the gentle
curvatures and flow of ancient glass being slowly pulled at
by gravity.
These and many other examples show the beauty that
results when a more enduring object is assuaged
by a flowing force or tendency.
By analogy we can then ask...
Is what we are doing in therapy essentially the creation of beauty?
Is this it? Is this one of the ways to beauty?
Take a conservative object, idea, or person…..and through some kind of intervention….wind, sea, intervention, enlightenment, …..they find flexibility.
But not so much that they completely change….
just enough so they change a little bit
in the direction of flexing.
Is it really that beauty arises
at the moment of the breaking of symmetry,
at the moment of the softening of granite?
What happens at the moment the unyielding finally slightly yields?
Beauty? Yes. Perhaps this is a part of it.
Is this the joy then of the observation of beauty?
Is it the joy of a creature who by nature must carry out redundancies, and thus takes on rigidity of form, and then...
Through observing this object sees a chance
to enable a slight alleviation from the rigid
to the moving,
to the unessential,
to the non-foundational,
to the ephemeral.
